Partners

Thanks to our amazing partners:
EMSWCD's PIC Grant: Funded the de-paving of Calvary's parking lot (4,300 SF!) plus soil and some nature-scaping.
BES Community Watershed Stewardship Grant: Funded Landscaping, Irrigation and mulch for de-paved areas. We planted over 1,300 native plants and trees!
SE Uplift Graffiti Abatement Grant Funded love-bomb mural on McCollum's wall (and lighting to deter graffiti)
PDC's Community Livability Challenge Grant:  funded the closure of Martin Street's entrance to Calvary Church's parking. (demolished 2 driveway approaches, poured new sidewalks and new street curbs.) This greatly improved neighborhood safety, by cutting off the option of vehicles short-cutting through the parking lot. to avoid SE 82nd Ave's traffic light.
EMSWCD SPACE Grant:  Funded Native Landscape Learning garden along Martins Street
DePave: DePave organized and helped with the de-paving of approximately 4,300 square feet of asphalt, added rain gardens (infiltration basins) to treat all parking lot storm-water runoff. Approximately 374,000 gallons of storm-water runoff per year now enters the raingardens instead of the city's sewer system.)
Friends of Trees helped OHB afford all the street trees we planted.
Calvary Lutheran Church Community Yard Sale:  Money went towards Street Trees along SE Woodstock Blvd and SE Martins Street. Also Calvary is lending land for a neighborhood food garden!! Thanks Calvary!
